The historical wine region of
Buda lies about 25 km west of Budapest. Known for wine growing using age-old traditions, the region's soil has concentrations of lime and mineral
and a special microclimate gives a unique taste to the
dry, fragrant white wines from the area.
Established in 1997, Nyakas grows vines on 124 hectares near to Budajenô
and Tök villages and ferments the wines using cooling technology
in stainless steel tanks. The
chief winemaker Ernô Malya and assistant
Beáta Nyúlné Pühra offer several high quality wines. |
